Mendocino brews seasonal offering.

In conjunction with the holiday season, the Mendocino Brewing Co. released this year's Yuletide Porter in late November.

The 1992 Porter is brewed with 100-percent pale, caramel, and black patent barley malts. It is then balanced with Cluster and Cascade hops, which produces "a dry, yet rich finish with hints of a delicate spiciness," the brewer reported.

This year marks the ninth year Mendocino has brewed Yuletide Porter, whose creamy taste is designed to accompany full holiday meals. The brew is available on tap and in 750-ml. bottles from the Hopland, CA, brewery.
