Memories dance.Concluding its 20th anniversary tour, Urban Bush Women comes home for a Joyce Theater The Joyce Theater is a 472-seat dance performance venue located in the Chelsea area of the borough of Manhattan in New York City. The Joyce Theater Foundation, the organization founded in 1982 that operates the theater, also owns the Joyce SoHo dance center located in a season (June 21-26) with works inspired by the writings of Pearl Primus Pearl Primus (29 November 1919, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago - 29 October 1994) dancer, choreographer and anthropologist. Pearl Primus immigrated to the United States on board the S.S. Voltaire and arrived at Ellis Island on June 24, 1924. , famed Trinidad-born anthropologist-dancer.
