It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of of her discovery of a memorial trees planting south of the Naumburg and-shell in Central Park. The memorial, which she at first mistook for an ancient churchyard, features 14 memorial stones dedicated to the memory of the men of the 307th Infantry, 77th Division. Twelve of those stones still retain their plaques. Ten trees are still standing, she reports, and a large boulder is inscribed in·scribe tr.v. in·scribed, in·scrib·ing, in·scribes 1. a. AMERICAN FORESTS American Forests is a nonprofit conservation organization that promotes healthy forests and urban tree planting. The organization was established in 1875 as the American Forestry Association, by physician/horticulturist John Aston Warder and a group of like-minded citizens urged the planting of memorial trees to remember war dead beginning with World War I. |
