Memorial Day Concert: pays tribute to fallen veterans.Music for the soul fills the air from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Sunday, May 25, as the National Memorial Day Concert pays tribute to the brave men and women who have died serving in Our military and those who have given their lives for freedom. Thousands will attend the event as millions more view the annual concert being broadcast live on PBS PBS in full Public Broadcasting Service Private, nonprofit U.S. corporation of public television stations. PBS provides its member stations, which are supported by public funds and private contributions rather than by commercials, with educational, cultural, from 8-9:30 p.m., eastern time. The program also airs overseas to American military men and women via the American Forces Radio and Television Network. The National Memorial Day Concert provides a special evening of hope and remembrance in honor of the victims and heroes of September 11, and a special segment of the event will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the armistice Armistice (Nov. 11, 1918) Agreement between Germany and the Allies ending World War I. Allied representatives met with a German delegation in a railway carriage at Rethondes, France, to discuss terms.
