AASA AASA American Association of School Administrators

AASA Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army
 experienced a 1.6 percent dip in membership. Membership remains a concern as districts consolidate because the pool of those eligible for membership is reduced. We do continue to encourage individuals to join and in FY 97-98 we will begin conducting a member-get-a-member campaign.

AASA continues to work closely with the state associations to recruit and retain members with a priority on recruiting first-time superintendents, women and minorities.
