National Membership Director Michael 1. Walsh.

"Recruiters and NSOs continue to make great strides in spreading the gospel of the DAV;" Walsh said. "Our mission of service to sick and disabled veterans is finding a very receptive audience as our nation's service men and women continue to wage war abroad and suffer battlefield injuries."

Veterans know that the DAV will be here for them in their time of need with benefits counseling, legislative advocacy, volunteer help, and the camaraderie ca·ma·ra·der·ie

The increasing strength of DAV through its surge in membership is a benefit to the organization on many levels, including the fight for VA health care on Capitol Capitol, seat of the U.S. Congress

"Our members are our strength, and I know for a fact that the messages we are sending to our nation's legislators have added weight when coming from such a large number of veterans," said National Adjutant ADJUTANT. "With this added strength, we will continue our fight against the indifference to disabled veterans that has seized our elected leadership."

Competition among recruiters, dedication from NSOs, and strong leadership from our Departments have propelled the DAV to this membership pinnacle, Walsh said.

If recent history is any indication, Walsh said he knows DAV recruiters and NSOs won't be satisfied with this new high-water mark high-water mark
