We think that the greatest promise we can make to new members is to provide them with the opportunity to join us and make a difference in their communities. We know of no better way to demonstrate this than to share the stories of our existing members who do the hands-on work that leads to civic improvement. To this end, the LWVUS LWVUS League of Women Voters of the United States has launched a "story bank" as part of the new membership recruitment initiative. We ask that you send us your stories about what the organization means to League members and how you've worked with the League to become a leader in your community. We want to know why you joined, what drives your passion for League, how it has impacted your life and what you've been able to do to impact the lives of others. We want to hear about personal successes within the League as well as details about project work that we can share more widely. To participate, visit www.lwv.org. As we all know, people make League special. Please share your personal League story today! The LWVUS congratulates the 2006 Program Award winners!
