Wayne Creelman MD, MMM, MBA, CPE, FACPE, is a candidate in the race for a seat in the Michigan House of Representatives The Michigan House of Representatives is the lower body of the Michigan Legislature. There are 110 Representatives, each of whom is elected from districts having approximately 77,000 to 91,000 residents, based on population figures from the U.S. Census. . Creelman is executive vice president and medical director of Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is a Psychiatric Hospital and mental health treatment facility based primarily in West Michigan. Founded in 1910 in Cutlerville, Michigan (south of Grand Rapids, Michigan) as the Christian Psychopathic Hospital, the name was changed in  in Grand Rapids, Mich. He previously served as medical director of Care Choices HMO/Behavioral Health. The GOP primary is slated for August 2002.

John Crum, MD, CPE, is a health care consultant with expertise in strategic planning, process innovation, analysis of medical practice and program implementation. Based in Louisville, KY, Crum serves the health services industry and related information management firms throughout the U.S. Crum previously was chief medical officer of Emphesys, Inc., a new Internet health plan of Humana, Inc. He was chief medical officer of Humana Military Healthcare Services from 1995 through 1999. Humana Military provides managed care to 1.1 million TRICARE beneficiaries in the Southeastern U.S.

James Lally, DO, MMM, CPE, FACPE, FACOFP, was honored recently with Fellow status in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Lally, of Montclair, Calif., earned his doctorate from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 1991. He also earned two master's degrees: one in health professions education from Western University of Health Sciences Founded in 1977 with a student body of 36, it now has over 2,000 students. The College of Veterinary Medicine was the first to open in the country in 20 years and the first in Southern California.  and one in medical management through ACPE's partnership with Carnegie Mellon University Carnegie Mellon University, at Pittsburgh, Pa.; est. 1967 through the merger of the Carnegie Institute of Technology (founded 1900, opened 1905) and the Mellon Institute of Industrial Research (founded 1913). .

, is vice president of medical affairs at Sierra Providence Health Network in El Paso, Texas. Miranda has served in various positions within the network including chief of staff, chair of the performance improvement committee and board member of SPHN, Inc. His responsibilities include serving as liaison between physicians and the network and its governing board. He also helps establish case management protocols. He is a graduate of Chihuahua State University School of Medicine, interned at Mount Sinai Hospital in new York and his residency was at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas.

Located on the university's health sciences campus in the Chinatown district of Boston, Massachusetts, the medical school has clinical affiliations with thousands of doctors and  and serves as a consultant to the National Pathology Center in Vilnius, Lithuania. He earned his medical degree from Harvard University and also holds a master of science degree in health administration from the University of Colorado.

Mark Shields, MD, MBA, was recently named to the board of directors of the Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers. Shields is executive vice president for academic affairs and chief medical officer of Kaleida Health in Buffalo, N.Y. Kaleida was created in 1998 with the merger of Buffalo General health System, Millard Fillmore Health System, The Children's Hospital of Buffalo Children's Hospital of Buffalo is a famous pedatric facility serving patients in Western New York State and east coast of the United States. It is a teaching hospital loosely affiliated with the State University of New York at Buffalo. The original hospital was founded in 1892.  and DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Shields oversees the organization's medical/dental staff. He is a graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Medical School and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
