 have put their vote of confidence in President Robert Bruininks Robert H. Bruininks (born February 22, 1942) is the current President of the University of Minnesota. He was named president on November 8, 2002 after briefly serving as the interim president. He has been employed by the U of M since 1968. , deciding in September to give him a raise and extend his contract. His new annual salary, which comes to $348,500, reflects a 2.5 percent raise. His new contract runs through June 2008. Lewis Duncan became president of Rollins College (Fla.) in August. He most recently served as dean of Darthmouth University's Thayer School of Engineering The Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College was founded in 1867 by General Sylvanus Thayer, widely known as the "father of the U.S. Military Academy." The Thayer School offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in engineering sciences.  ...
