WHAT: Washington, D.C.-- Congressman Ed Towns and Congressman
Gregory Meeks, Members of the New York delegation, and Members
of the Congressional Black Caucus held a press conference this
afternoon to announce their opposition to Nielsen Research's
April 8th rollout of local people meters (LPMs) which
systematically under count minority viewers.
While Nielsen has delayed rolling out LPMs in Chicago and Los
Angeles, Nielsen plans to introduce its new technology into
the New York market on April 8th.
