Mega Mirror: Lego's Dome clone..

THE Millennium Dome at London's Greenwich always makes the headlines, but did you know that a second Dome opens today?

The new one is at Legoland Windsor and it is an exact replica of the original. A total of 880,000 Lego bricks and 30 metres of steel were used to build the model, which is in the park's Miniland.

The roof of the real Dome stands 50 metres high at the centre, but the Dome at Legoland is just 1.2 metres tall. And while the original took three years to complete, the Lego replica was completed in eight weeks.PEN PALS FOR FREEEVER dreamed of having a pen friend? Well, this might be your chance.

Royal Mail is offering 15 Mega readers aged eight and over free membership to Write Away, a pen-pal club that matches pen friends all over the UK, with or without special needs.

All you have to do is design a message in code for the front of a postcard. One overall winner will also receive 50 postcards featuring their own special design to send to all their mates.

It can be fun keeping in touch by letters or postcards, but words are not the only way to share your news.

You can also try using secret codes or drawing signs. This can help cross the language barrier if you have a pal overseas. There are lots of examples of signs and codes. Semaphore and Morse code have been used to carry messages over long distances.

For a chance to win, send your entry, with your name and address, to MM Signs Comp, 22 Endell Street, London, WC2H 9AD by March 25, 2000. If you don't get picked, you can still join the club by sending them your name and address at Write Away, 1 Thorpe Close, London, W10 5XL. If you hurry you might even be matched with a friend in Kosovo, too.Games top 101 (1) Resident Evil 3: Nemesis - PlayStation

JAPANESE PlayStation fans formed a queue over half a mile long to catch their first glimpse of the PlayStation 2 which went on sale last Saturday. The monster machine, out here in the autumn, is the most powerful video-game console ever and Sony are aiming to sell 100 million of them before this Christmas.

FANS of the Sim City PC series will love the new spin-off game, The Sims.

In Sim City, created by Will Wright, you built and ran a town, but in The Sims you control the city's inhabitants.

It's a bit like a virtual soap where you direct the action and it's destined to be a big hit. In the States it's outselling its predecessor, Sim City 3000, by two to one. Mega has 10 copies of The Sims up for grabs, plus 10 special Sims pizza slicers. For a chance to win phone 0901 380 1818 telling us who created the Sim City series.

MOVE over Mario, the Game Boy has a new star. Any idea who? No, well here's a clue: he has a pal called Big Ears.

That's right, it's Noddy. And his new game Noddy And The Birthday Party, out on March 24, is surprisingly good fun.

In the BBC Worldwide game, aimed mainly at the under fives, you have to help Noddy, who celebrated his 50th birthday last year, to create a birthday party for Big Ears.UNLESS you're allowed to stay up all night to catch the latest episode of Channel 4's BITS, games coverage on TV has been pretty inaccessible.

But the arrival of TooMuchTV on Channel 5 tomorrow morning is set to change that.

Featuring pop, movie and games reviews, the programme even looks like a computer game. Every week the Games Jury rate new games. Look out for Ridge Racer 64, Theme Park World and Extreme Championship Wrestling for the Dreamcast on tomorrow's show (10am, Channel 5).
