Mega Mirror: Football crazy.

Byline: Fiona Parker

MORE and more girls are putting on their shinpads and heading for the footie pitch. Mega met rising women's soccer star Rachel Unitt

Rachel (right) plays for Everton and has three England caps. "I prefer playing for England," says the 18-year-old, who works as a fitness instructor. "In my first game against France we played at the Velodrome Stadium in front of 50,000 fans. Women's football is the fastest-growing sport. I started playing in junior school with the lads." Rachel's hero is David Beckham. "I was gobsmacked when I met him at the unveiling of the England strip."
