 basic and advanced training. The SSS session will feature the most advanced training available in the country. Spotters from across the region are expected to attend. Gary Woodall, WCM, National Weather Service--Ft. Worth, Texas, a primary developer of the storm spotter training system utilized nationwide, will present. Afternoon presentations will be delivered by Alan Moller, National Weather Service--Ft. Worth, Texas; Roger Edwards, NWS/Storm Prediction Center; and Martin Lisius, Chairman, Texas Severe Storms Association. The event will conclude with the feature presentation by Louis Wicker, NOAA/National Severe Storms Laboratory. The TESSA 2005 Texas Storm Conference is free and open to the public. * The Fourth Southeast Severe Storms Symposium will be held 4-6 March 2005 at Mississippi State University Mississippi State University, at Mississippi State, near Starkville; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1878 as an agricultural and mechanical college, opened 1880. From 1932 to 1958 it was known as Mississippi State College. . The East Mississippi NWA & AMS AMS - Andrew Message System  Chapter sponsors it. This year they will highlight a Broadcasters Workshop. * The 30th Northeastern Storm Conference will be held on 18-20 March 2005 in Burlington, Vermont. The Lyndon State College Lyndon State College is a public college located at Lyndonville in the U.S. state of Vermont. The town is located in Caledonia county in a region of Vermont known as the Northeast Kingdom.  AMS & NWA Chapter sponsors it. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Hotel. * The 2005 Severe Storms and Doppler Radar Conference will be held 31 March-2 April 2005 in West Des Moines, Iowa West Des Moines is a city in Polk, Dallas, and Warren counties in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 46,403; a special census taken in the spring of 2005 counted 51,744 residents. . The Central Iowa NWA Chapter sponsors it. The conference will be held at the West Des Moines West Des Moines (də moin`), city (1990 pop. 31,702), Polk co., S central Iowa, a growing suburb W of Des Moines; inc. 1893 as Valley Junction, renamed 1938. * AIR-MASS 2005 Mid-America Storm Symposium will be held 14-15 April 2005 in Wichita, Kansas. The Wichita AMS & NWA Chapter sponsors it. In addition to the science-sharing presentations, a couple of special events are planned including a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Udall, Kansas, tornado.
