"WebEvent products have been used by leading corporations and universities since 1997," said Deborah C. Umbach, director of product marketing for Meeting Maker, Inc. Highlights of the new functionality available in WebEvent View 2.0 include:

--Expanded External Communication - Administrators can set-up an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) A syndication format that was developed by Netscape in 1999 and became very popular for aggregating updates to blogs and the news sites. RSS has also stood for "Rich Site Summary" and "RDF Site Summary.  (Really Simple Syndication) export/feed from WebEvent to enable real-time distribution of specific events to a wide audience simultaneously and instantaneously.

--Improved Guest User Interface - An expanded guest user interface displayed on the home page allows anonymous users to access public calendars. Guests can view calendars for specific dates, search for events, and see featured activities all from the home page. Organizations can highlight events they wish to promote and make it easier for their guests to zoom in on the most relevant information.

--Enhanced Calendar Event Filtering - The new software enables users to filter events by title to narrow results and provide more granularity for events that particularly interest them. This provides quicker and easier access to key information.

--Enhanced Batch Import Functionality - Non-technical users can now import events from CSV (1) (Comma Separated Value) Same as comma delimited.

This enables organizations to more effectively manage their usage of WebEvent View.
