Meet the SCNA Board of Directors.

President--Gwen Davis. Gwen is in the first year of a two year term as President. She has served the SCNA Board as a Director, Chair of Workplace Advocacy, and Vice-President, before being elected in 2006. Gwen is employed by DHEC and lives in Hartsville.

Vice-President--Marilyn Coleman: Marilyn is serving in the second year of her term as SCNA Vice-President. She was elected in 2005. Prior to this election Marilyn had served on the SCNA Board at other times during her membership. Marilyn is employed by DHEC and lives in Saluda.

Treasurer--Susan Clark: Susan is serving in the first year of a two year term as Treasurer for SCNA. This is a return to a role that she has played several other times for the Board. Susan is "retired" and back at work at DHEC and lives in Irmo.

Secretary--Connie Varn: Connie is serving in the second year of her term as Secretary for SCNA. She returned to the Board last year in this role having served SCNA on the Board in the past. She is employed by Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, School of Nursing, and lives in Orangeburg.

Chair, Commission on SCNA Chapters--Vicki Green: Vicki is serving in the first year of her two year term as Chair of this the newest Board of Directors role. Vicki has also served the SCNA Board in the past and has also been the President of the SCNF. She is employed by DHEC and lives in Orangeburg.

Chair, Commission on Public Policy and Legislation--Wanda Anderson-Loftin: Wanda is serving in the second year of her two year term as Chair of this Commission. She is employed by the University of South Carolina, College of Nursing and lives in Columbia.

Chair, Commission on Marketing and Communication--Barbara Lee-Learned: Barbara is serving in the second year of her second term on the SCNA Board. She is employed by the Technical College of the Low Country, School of Nursing and lives in Hilton Head.

Chair, Commission on Workforce Advocacy--Carrie House James: Carrie is serving in the second year of her first term on the SCNA Board in this role. She has served SCNA in many roles in the past, including as President and President of the SCNF. She is also currently President of the Canter for American Nurses (CAN) at the national level and a member of the State Board of Nursing. Carrie is employed at the South Carolina State University in the Service Learning area and lives in Orangeburg.

Director--Ellen Riddle: Ellen is serving in the first year of a two year term on the SCNA Board. An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Women's Health, Ellen lives and works in Lexington.

Director--Rebecca Burrows: Rebecca is serving in the second year of her second term on the SCNA Board. Rebecca is a past President of the SNA-SC and was first appointed to the SCNA Board as soon as she passed the NCLEX and became licensed. She is employed at The Regional Medical Center in Informatics and lives in Elloree.

Director--Priscilla Carver: Priscilla is serving in the second year of her first term on the SCNA Board. She is and APRN as well as teaching at UAS-Aiken, School of Nursing. She lives in Aiken.

Ex-Officio Members of the SCNA Board: These members serve because of the role that they play within other organizations or as Chapter Chairs of the SCNA Chapters.

SCNF President--Renatta Loquist: Renatta is the current President of the South Carolina Nurses Foundation. She is "retired" and serving as a Parish Nurse for her church, she lives in Columbia.

SNA-SC President-Jessica Simpkins: Jessica is the current President of the Student Nurses Association of South Carolina. She is a student at Piedmont Technical College in Green wood where she also lives.

Chapter Chairs: Chapters are groups within SCNA, either geographical or practice based:

Appalachia Chapter--Bobbie Overstreet: Bobbie is in her first year as Chair of the Appalachia Chapter. She is employed at Greenville Technical College, School of Nursing, and lives in Pendleton.

Edisto Chapter--Colleen Browne: Colleen is in her first year as Chair of the Edisto Chapter. She is employed at South Carolina State University, School of Nursing, and lives in Orangeburg.

Nursing Educators Chapter--Sandra Beasley: Sandra is in her first term as Chair of this the newest of the SCNA Chapters. She is employed by the Technical College of the Lowcountry, School of Nursing and lives in Saint Helena.

Psychiatric/Mental Health Chapter--Peggy Dulaney: Peggy is in her first term as Chair of the P/MH Chapter. She is a consultant and lives in Easley.

Women's and Children's Health Chapter--Nydia Harter: Nydia is in her first term as Chair of the WCH Chapter. She is employed by Lexington Medical Center and lives in Cayce.
