Meet in Mobile: a city on the water and on the move.


Mobile, Alabama, blends a rich, nautical past with Southern hospitality and a coastal climate. This charming city on Mobile Bay has a 300-year history but is poised to become a prime destination in the 21st century. The Outlaw Center takes full advantage of its waterfront setting, incorporating exterior terraces, river walks, and expansive riverfront windows, all affording magnificent views of ships passing on the Mobile River, into the bay, and on to the Gulf of Mexico Noun 1. The 317,000-square-foot convention center offers a 100,000-square-foot exhibit hall, a 15,000-square-foot grand ballroom, and 16 meeting rooms. High-speed wireless Internet access and state-of-the-art audiovisual and videoconferencing technology are available.

The Mobile Civic Center Mobile Civic Center is a multi-use event center located in Mobile, Alabama. It comprises three venues: The Theater
The 1,940 seat theater is used for concerts, Broadway shows, and other theatrical events. The Theater is connected to the Arena by a glass promenade.
 Theatre, Expo Hall, and Arena offer exceptional meeting and event space. The seven-story domed arena boasts more than 10,000 seats, 80,000 square feet of exhibit space, 15 meeting rooms, a large lobby for prefunction events, and everything you'd expect from a first-class, flexible arena space.

A glass-enclosed promenade connects the arena to the 1,940-seat theater with a permanent stage, dressing rooms, and a small lounge for private parties. The comfortably elegant setting can be used in conjunction with the adjacent courtyard for large-scale events.

The greater Mobile area offers approximately 6,000 hotel rooms. The 377-room Adam's Mark is adjacent to the Outlaw Mobile Convention Center. Other accommodations include the 236-room Airport Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, a 252-room Marriott, and the 210room Lafayette Plaza Hotel. The 250-room Battle House Hotel, a Southern landmark near the waterfront, is undergoing a complete renovation to restore its grandeur. From economy to luxury, Mobile offers choices for visitors, including some great bed-and-breakfast alternatives located in the city and surrounding areas.

! Full speed ahead!" became legendary. Convention delegates will enjoy a day at the beach or counting alligators on a nature and ecology tour on the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta just minutes from downtown Mobile.

More than 20 area golf courses (including some on Alabama's famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is a collection of championship caliber golf courses, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., distributed across the state of Alabama, as part of investments by the Retirement Systems of Alabama. ), fishing excursions, and abundant parks welcome the active traveler. Leisurely daytime tours of historic homes and oak-lined streets can be balanced with a dinner of Southern cuisine and seafood specialties and faster-paced nightlife on Dauphin Street, the "Little Bourbon Street" of Mobile. Free Loda Moda trolleys make getting around downtown quick and trouble free.

GETTING HERE IS EASY

Three regional airports are within an hour's drive of downtown Mobile, and the city's location at the intersection of I-10 and I-65 make it an attractive driving destination. Rail service is also available. The historic GMSO GMSO Graduate Management Student Organization (Worcester Polytechnic Institute)  building is being restored to house a transportation center serving rail, car, trolley, and bus passengers.

In the near future, visitors to Mobile will be able to enjoy a new interactive maritime center focusing on coastal ecology at Mobile Landing, a development connected to the Outlaw Convention Center.
