), a pioneer in the design and development of safety needle devices, today announced that Dispomedic 2000, the Company's production facility for its safety devices, received the first of a series of high-speed multi-cavity molds for plastic injection and production of the CoverTip(TM) safety syringe. These molds will go on line later this year and will provide product components for CoverTip's market introduction this fall.

Kerry M. Frey, President and COO of Medisys Technologies, Inc., commented, "This first series of molds marks the beginning for the mass production of CoverTip and its highly anticipated entry into the syringe market. We are excited that all of our research and development efforts will soon come to fruition. CoverTip technology provides healthcare workers with the safety syringes that are now mandated by 15 states, which equates to new found safety for over 100 million people of the U.S. population. Commercialization of the CoverTip provides an immediate solution to safety needle legislation which many more states are beginning to also draft to confront critical safety issues."
