Medinet to Support University of Tokyo Hospital's 22nd Century Medical Center Project for Immune Cell Therapy.


Tokyo, Japan, Oct 15, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Japanese CRO (contract research organization) Medinet announced on October 11 that it has agreed to a collaboration with the University of Tokyo “Todai” redirects here. For the restaurant called Todai, see Todai (restaurant).

Specifically, Medinet will construct Center for Immune Cell Therapy (CICT CICT Commission on Information and Communications Technology ), a facility with Cell Processing Center (CPC (1) (Central Processing Complex) An IBM mainframe that has two or more central processors (CPs) that share memory. It is the collection of processors, memory and I/O subsystems manufactured with a single serial number, typically all contained in one cabinet. ) at the Hospital's 22nd Century Medical Center, which is to be operational in March 2006.

Further, the company will comprehensively support clinical trials of immune cell therapy conducted at the 22nd Century Medical Center. Upon confirming the effectiveness and safety, new therapies will be applied to patients at the hospital.

Through this collaboration, Medinet aims to establish immune cell therapy as evidence-based medicine (EBM) and put it into practical use.
