Since Medical Industries' acquisition of Florida Physicians Internet Inc. (FPII), a large multi-group medical practice formerly owned and operated by Tai, he has served as Medical Director to the company. Further, thanks largely in part to Tai's influence and reputation, seven additional doctors from a wide range of medical disciplines have recently joined the medical staff of FPII. Collectively, revenues from the practice, coupled with revenue anticipated from the cath lab scheduled to be delivered to FPII later this month, is expected to exceed $7 million in 1997.

Dr. Tai is Board Certified in Internal Medicine internal medicine, branch of medicine concerned with nonsurgical remedies for diseases of the internal organs. While the internist is trained to diagnose and treat all pathologies of the various internal organs and systems, he may specialize in a particular subbranch of the discipline, such as cardiology, the treatment of heart ailments, or gastroenterology, the treatment of diseases and disorders of the digestive system. and Cardiovascular Diseases in England and the United States. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Angiology angiology /an·gi·ol·o·gy/ (an?je-ol´ah-je) the study of the vessels of the body; also, the sum of knowledge relating to the blood and lymph vessels.

 and a Fellow of the Clinical Council of Cardiology of the American Heart Association. Dr. Tai has served on the committee for the American College of Chest Physicians and is a past president of the American Heart Association.

After graduating from medical school with distinctions in Internal Medicine and Forensic Medicine forensic medicine n. research, reports, and testimony in court by experts in medical science to assist in determining a legal question. Cause of death is a common issue determined by pathologists who may be coroners or medical examiners. (See: forensic), Dr. Tai undertook extensive post graduate training in Tropical Medicine tropical medicine, study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of certain diseases prevalent in the tropics. The warmth and humidity of the tropics and the often unsanitary conditions under which so many people in those areas live contribute to the development and dissemination of many infectious diseases and parasitic infestations. Much has been achieved in combating such typical tropical diseases as yellow fever, amebic dysentery, and filariasis (elephantiasis)., Internal Medicine and Cardiology in England, Canada and the United States. He continued his training through Residencies and Internships at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center in New York. Dr. Tai subsequently established a private practice in Cardiovascular Diseases in Connecticut where he also accepted faculty appointments at Albert Einstein Medical School, Yale Medical Schools and Long Island University. Dr. Tai relocated his practice to Central Florida in 1977. He continued his medical teaching at Orlando Regional Medical Center while establishing Florida Physicians Internet Inc., a large multi-specialty group practice serving four counties in the Central Florida region. Dr. Tai's research papers have been extensively published in medical journals. He has also authored and published "The Heart Doctor's Heart Book" and "Rapid Interpretation of Electrocardiogram
