Medical Distribution Solutions starts "J. of Healthcare Contracting'.Medical Distribution Solutions (MDS; Norcross, GA) has begun the publication of "The Journal of Healthcare Contracting," a title dedicated solely to the contracting arena of healthcare. "The Journal of Healthcare Contracting" is designed to "facilitate open, meaningful communication for its community" and reach "all the people responsible for the success of contracting initiatives for their organizations," MDS said. The journal has a controlled circulation of 9000 executives involved in the healthcare contracting business, including health system executives, hospital CEO's, sales and marketing professionals for GPOs and distributors, and industry suppliers and manufacturers. It will be published bimonthly this year and monthly beginning in 2006. The journal focuses on the interactions of the four primary stakeholders in healthcare contracting: health systems and their facilities, manufacturers and suppliers, distributors and group purchasing organizations. "The Journal of Healthcare Contracting" includes the following segments: Executive Interview, featuring an executive from the contracting arena; Model of the Future, a section that includes information on trends and analysis of the industry; Contracting News, which provides short summaries of industry news, including mergers and acquisitions, financial data, awarded contracts, personnel changes, legislation and certificates of need; and, a cover story. Medical Distribution Solutions (Norcross, GA) also produces "Repertoire" magazine for the sales and marketing segment of the medical products distribution channel, "Georgia Physician Magazine" and Education Online, a medical training resource. |
