Mediazone's New Tennis Channel to Broadcast Premier Global Tournaments; Live Coverage of ARAG ATP World Team Cup Begins May 21st.


REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Mediazone, a leading global online broadcaster, today announced the launch of its newest online channel that will deliver unprecedented coverage of over 500 global tennis matches live and on-demand in 2006. The first featured event, ARAG ATP World Team Cup in Duesseldorf, Germany, will be available live on The Tennis Channel beginning May 21st and present such renowned players as reigning World singles champion David Nalbandian, Andy Roddick, Ivan Ljubicic, Robby Ginepri, Tommy Haas and David Ferrer. Altogether nine of the 20 best players in the world will compete at the Rochusclub in Germany, and given the unique round robin formatting of this tournament the caliber of entertainment is sure to be superior throughout the entire championship.

Held since 1987, this WTA Tour event is a Tier III-tournament and is played on outdoor clay courts. , and in June the Gerry Weber Open The Gerry Weber Open is a tennis tournament held in Halle, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
