MediaStreet creates online photo print service producing canvas prints for retailers and consumers.

MediaStreet Inc., Deer Park, N.Y., introduces photobandito.com, a creative way for consumers to display and "exhibit" their favorite photographs with friends and families. The new online print service also gives retail outlets a way to increase profits by offering the same service to their customers, either instore or via their websites, says the company.

CompUSA Inc., Dallas, Texas, is the first retailer to offer this custom service to its customers with in-store promotions by displaying a PhotoBandito Canvas Print in their inkjet printers and camera departments. CompUSA offers customers the service through its own branded PhotoBandito site at http://compusa.photobandito.com.

The name was derived from the notion the bandito "takes" your images and converts them into works of art, according to Norm Levy, president of MediaStreet.

Photos are printed up to 30-by-40 inches on museum-quality canvas and box mounted so they are ready for hanging. A variety of other print sizes are available from 11-by-14-inches to 30-by-40-inches. Prints are presented as finished museum-mounted prints or "canvas only" for personal mounting options. In addition, custom text can be added to any print for a personalized gift idea or corporate functions.

To order museum-quality prints, consumers go to photobandito.com, click the "Browse" button to select the image they want enlarged, and "Upload" the image to photobandito.com. Clicking the "Shopping Basket" allows consumers to review, change, and finalize orders.
