The World Wide Web is a very useful tool for attorneys seeking news stories, company press releases, and industry information pertinent PERTINENT, evidence. Those facts which tend to prove the allegations of the party offering them, are called pertinent; those which have no such tendency are called impertinent, 8 Toull. n. 22.    This news-oriented search engine created by Wired Digital allows users to
   search across online newspapers and news-organization sites as if they were
   a single database. Users can also download the Newsbot Personal Agent,
   enabling them to automatically receive notice of relevant news on a topic
   they have specified. The site is currently being upgraded, and Wired
   Digital says it will soon launch NewsBot 2.0 with enhanced news-searching
   features.

   Vanderbilt University's online archive allows users to search the text of
   abstracts summarizing national television newscasts going back about 30
   years. Searches can be conducted by keywords, date, or network.
