Media Smart: helping children watch wisely.

www.mediasmart.org.uk

London, UK

A media literacy organization with the mission of building a media-literate society through developing and funding media literacy programs for children. The literacy programs are specifically focused on educating children ages 6-11 on the influence of advertising in their daily lives and how to understand and think critically about advertising content. Media Smart is unique in that it is the only national media literacy program in Europe that incorporates experts in education, government, and industry into its programs and development. --JF
