WHO IS AT RISK

Organizations with sites running Windows 2000 - prior to Service Pack 4 - and Windows XP with Front Page Server Extensions 2000 or 2002 or SharePoint Team Services 2000 installed are vulnerable. These software packages are either present by default or are installed with commonly used applications such as Office XP. Web Servers that have these extensions installed are vulnerable to any attacker who can access Port 80, the typically accessible http port.

BindView has created vulnerability checks for bv-Control for Windows and bv-Control for Internet Security to assist customers in locating at-risk systems. Once these systems are identified, the Microsoft patches should be installed as quickly as possible.
