, Minn. -- What efforts are being made at home to support Minnesota military families? This is what a group of local business women asked.

Their answer; Fashion for Freedom, a summer long campaign to raise community awareness about what we can do for those who have given so much.

 this summer include, marching in Marching In is a science fiction short story by Isaac Asimov. The story was written at the request of the US publication 'High Fidelity', with the stipulation that it be 2,500 words long, set twenty-five years in the future and deal with an aspect of sound recording.  parades, selling T-shirts, raising money, collecting items for a silent auction and planning a charitable event this fall to benefit the Minnesota Military Family Readiness support groups; www.minnesotamilitaryfamilyfoundation.com.

The best part - they will be doing makeovers in August for women who are military family members of our deployed soldiers. Military family members who would like to enter to win should respond by July 31, 2006 at www.fashionforfreedom.com. We want to hear their stories about how the war effort has affected their families and how this complete makeover would benefit them.

Most people like the idea of doing "something" for a good cause. Finding the time to take action is another story. What if all they had to do was eat great food at a world-class golf club, watch a fashion show, and enjoy an evening out? Sound like fun? That's the idea for the much-anticipated event which will culminate culminate, in astronomy, the maximum height in the sky reached by a celestial body on a given day.
