WASHINGTON -- BIO 2007 Boston marks the third joint presentation of the European Commission European Commission, branch of the governing body of the European Union (EU) invested with executive and some legislative powers. ) and the European Medicines Agency The European Medicines Agency (EMEA) is a European agency for the evaluation of medicinal products. Until 2004, the European Medicines Agency was known as The European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products.

Roughly parallel to the U.S.

The joint EU Pavilion and several international sessions at the world's largest biotechnology fair will highlight Europe's role in supporting research and innovation in the life sciences and promote Europe as a highly competitive, knowledge-based economy with opportunities for research, partnering and business development.
