Medaglia honored by AREW.Michele Medaglia, president of ACC See adaptive cruise control. Construction, has been honored with the coveted Founder's Award by the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW). Presented every year since 1994, recipients of the Founder's Award are chosen by past and present officers, and it is considered AREW's most distinguished honor.
Medaglia, who served as AREW's president from 2005 to 2006, was given the award at the group's annual Members-only Luncheon.
During an emotional speech delivered by outgoing AREW president Amy Applebaum, a vice president at JPMorgan Chase, Medaglia was applauded for her outstanding commitment to the organization and her active participation in helping other women in the real estate industry attain their goals.
During her tenure as AREW's president, the organization's membership increased substantially and more men joined than in previous years. In addition, she successfully campaigned for new luncheon and meeting venues and helped recruit high profile guest speakers.
Through Medaglia's direction, ACC Construction has been a corporate sponsor of AREW for several years.
