MedAire Supplies Expanded Medical Kits to Northwest Airlines.

MedAire Inc., a Phoenix-based medical services and product company, is providing nearly 500 specially equipped Expanded Medical Kits (XMK) to Northwest Airlines.

The kits substantially exceed FAA requirements for on-board medical kits, and are part of Northwest's comprehensive, on-board medical preparedness program, which also includes Automatic External Defibrillators (AED).

The contents of the XMK are based upon the experience of MedAire's MedLink board certified MedLink Emergency Telemedicine physicians who have managed more than 12,000 inflight medical incidents and emergencies for domestic and international carriers for more than 12 years.

The XMKs are equipped with the types of medications and supplies that through experience, MedAire has found will help address the vast majority of all inflight medical incidents and emergencies.

MedAire provides medical services and products, including emergency medical kits, telemedicine services and train-the-trainer programs, to 27 major airlines in the U.S. and internationally, and to more than 600 corporate aviation clients.
