In the summer of 2000, when he was publishing 27 newsletters and producing some 30 annual conferences, Mike sold his company to LexisNexis, a unit of Reed Elsevier Inc. Tom Hagy, who was hired as a reporter in 1985, now runs the day-to-day operations of Mealey's.
