McQueen signs up Inference for Edinburgh call center.


LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 16, 1996--Leading service provider McQueen has signed a contract for Inference (logic) inference - The logical process by which new facts are derived from known facts by the application of inference rules.

 Craig Saddington, general manager of McQueen's marketing and technology services, the choice was motivated by Inference's reputation as a high-performing company with experience of blue chip players and by the strength of its consultancy and support organization.

He goes on to describe the CBR software as the most technically advanced, feature-rich and mature knowledge access tool on the market, stressing its ability to be integrated with technology partners such as Vantive.

McQueen is set to gain significant benefits from the new software. "CBR2 is a very impressive family of products," Saddington said. "The software will pay for itself in terms of time saved in call length and operator training, and our agents now have the added satisfaction of being able to offer more consistent and professional support and service to our customers."

The company is also considering investment in Inference's CasePoint WebServer software, which allows customers to receive on-line answers to their queries via the World Wide Web.
