McNAMARA, STATE HEALTH DIRECTOR TO RELEASE 1991 INFANT MORTALITY RATES
 Wayne County Executive Edward H. McNamara and Michigan Director of Public Health Vernice Davis-Anthony are calling a joint news conference to announce the preliminary figures on the 1991 infant mortality rate in Michigan.
 The news conference will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at Detroit Riverview Hospital, 7733 E. Jefferson, in downtown Detroit.
 Davis-Anthony will release last year's statistics, which have shown a decided shift, and discuss their significance. Also at the event will be McNamara's celebrity spokesperson for Infant Mortality Prevention Week in Wayne County (May 4-11), singer/actress Jennifer Holliday.
 Handling the issue from the county perspective will be Director of Health and Community Services Bernard Kilpatrick, health officer Cynthia Taueg and Commissioner Jackie Currie, who is president of the Wayne County Executive Task Force on Infant Mortality.
 Dr. Charles Vincent, M.D., who is chief of obstetrics at Riverview, will be on hand and available for interviews.
 Photo opportunities with newborns will also be made available to the media.
 All members of the media are encouraged to attend and asked to visit the information desk at the hospital to be directed to the news conference.
