McMorgan & Company Deepens Taft-Hartley Commitment; Appointment of Thomas M. Carrabine as Regional Director of Sales; Opening of Midwest Office.


SAN FRANCISCO San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  -- McMorgan & Company (McMorgan) today announced the appointment of Thomas M. Carrabine as Regional Director of Sales at the firm's new Midwest office in Chicago, Illinois.

Mr. Carrabine will work with plan sponsors and investment consultants in the Midwest region, representing both McMorgan and NYLIM NYLIM New York Life Investment Management LLC  Retirement Plan Services, a division of New York New York, state, United States

. He joins McMorgan from Clark Consulting, Inc., where he was an institutional investment consultant. Previously, he held positions with the Illinois Governor's office and state agencies as well as Hedge Fund hedge fund, in finance, a highly speculative, largely unregulated investment device. Originating in the 1950s, the funds "hedge" by offsetting "short" positions (borrowing a security and then selling it at a higher price before repaying the lender) against "long"  Research, Inc.
