Almost 500 Leaders Expected to Attend Sessions at the

Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago on June 9-10, 2003

Engineering News-Record (ENR), McGraw-Hill Construction's comprehensive weekly resource for construction industry information, and part of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP), will be hosting its second annual Top 1000 Contractors Leadership Forum on June 9 and 10th at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago, IL.

ENR launched its Top 100 Contractors Forum last year to facilitate an exchange of ideas and networking by industry leaders. This year's keynote is Tom Leppert, Chairman and CEO of the Turner Corporation, and #5 on ENR's list of Top 400 contractors. Several other Top 400s will participate in panels on such topics as Leadership Transitions, Risk Management, the Labor Crisis and Design-Build. The luncheon features a midyear update of the Construction Industry Forecast by Robert Murray, vice president of Economic Affairs at McGraw-Hill Construction.

Attending the Forum will be almost 40 representatives from the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) who will participate in a special session on construction in China. CHINCA will be signing an agreement of cooperation with the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). McGraw-Hill Construction will be hosting the ceremony.

A special briefing will take place Tuesday afternoon on rebuilding Iraq. Leading the discussion will be Major General Hans Van Winkle, Deputy Commander of the U.S. Army Corp of engineers, as well as two ENR editors, Tom Sawyer and Andy Wright, who recently returned from their assignments as embedded journalists in Iraq.
