McDONALD'S ANNOUNCES EXPANSION

 OAK BROOK, Ill., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- McDonald's Corporation (NYSE: MCD) announced today that it will add between 900 and 1,200 restaurants worldwide for each of the next several years. The mix of net additions will remain the same -- approximately one-third in the U.S. and two-thirds in international markets.
 In connection with the release of third quarter earnings, McDonald's stated that net additions for 1993 would be close to 900 -- the high end of its previously announced range of 700 to 900.
 McDonald's is the leading foodservice retailer in the global consumer marketplace, with nearly 14,000 restaurants in 68 countries. More than 80 percent of McDonald's restaurant businesses are locally owned and operated by independent entrepreneurs.
