To accomplish this, NuTec Energy replaced its direct-attached storage Direct-attached storage (DAS) refers to a digital storage system directly attached to a server or workstation, without a storage network in between. "Our ability to process data three times the rate we were before the SAN deployment directly impacts our bottom line," said Mike Keehan, president of NuTec Energy. "That's a very significant return on investment, considering the cost of the McDATA solution was one-tenth that of our legacy infrastructure. We can deliver better and faster service to our customers at lower prices than our competitors. I think that makes us a market leader in our space."
