McAfee outlines Total Protection Service with SaaS Strategy.

McAfee Inc. on Monday introduced its new Total Protection Service, the latest SaaS security software as part of its cloud approach strategy.

It has outlined its SaaS based solution with its McAfee Total Protection Service 5.0 featuring DLP, compliance, vulnerability scanning, e-mail, network protection, and endpoint protection.

"Total Protection Service is a key component of the McAfee Security-as-a-Service strategy," said Marc Olesen, senior vice president and general manager, McAfee Software-as-a-Service.

"With this product, we're broadening our SaaS offerings to enterprise customers."<br /> The company also said the enhanced security protection enables customer to save of up to 50 percent.

Industry analysts estimate the worldwide security-as-a-service market was valued at approximately $643 million in 2007 and is forecasted to grow to more than $3 billion in 2012.
