What:   The New York Metro chapter of the ISSA is hosting a regional
        meeting focused on network intrusion prevention. During this
        event, Corn and Akhter will offer a presentation on how the
        growing number of worms and insider attacks are wreaking havoc
        on internal systems. The presentation will delve into how this
        increase in malicious activity has caused a shift in
        information security priorities with organizations now placing
        more attention on securing the internal network versus just
        the network perimeter. The presentation will also provide
        supporting data, highlighting recent research conducted by
        Mazu Networks regarding the impact of worms and internal
        threats on 229 enterprises.

Tom Corn, vice president, marketing and strategy

Tom Corn joined Mazu Networks in April of 2003 as vice president, marketing and strategy. At Mazu, Corn is responsible for product strategy, product management and all outbound marketing activity. With more than 14 years experience in the software and networking market, Corn brings a broad experience in focusing product and marketing strategy around business problems.

Prior to joining Mazu, Corn was vice president, marketing and strategy at NextNine, a company focused on next generation process automation for network infrastructure. Prior to NextNine, Corn was the director of marketing at Avid Technology "Avid" redirects here. For the "Advancement Via Individual Determination" educational program, see AVID.
