Springtime at Rosalie: Flowers from the Rosalie Garden

The historic Rosalie Mansion, maintained by the Mississippi State Society Daughters of the American Revolution Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), a Colonial patriotic society in the United States, open to women having one or more ancestors who aided the cause of the Revolution. The society was organized (1890) at Washington, D.C. , is located at 100 Orleans Street and is the site of a host of special spring events. Guests will see the overflowing garden that furnishes the mansion with old-fashioned bouquets and every Saturday and Sunday Rosalie tour guides will dress in antebellum style costumes and hoop skirts. The theme for this year's festival is "Salute to America" and the featured guest will be Chief Justice Edwin Lloyd Pittman of the Mississippi Supreme Court. Come to downtown Collins and enjoy activities for the whole family. There will be arts and crafts arts and crafts, term for that general field of applied design in which hand fabrication is dominant.
