All of the hotels mentioned, plus others like the Westin Maui, Sheraton Maui, Hyatt Regency Regency, in British history, the period of the last nine years (1811–20) of the reign of George III, when the king's insanity had rendered him unfit to rule and the government was vested in the prince of Wales (later George IV) as regent.  Maui, and Embassy Suites Hotel, offer meeting space for good-sized groups, but the Grand Wailea boasts the largest ballroom in the state (28,000 square feet) and more outdoor function areas (eight) than any other Hawaiian hotel.
