Matritech Elects Patricia Randall to the Position of Vice President and General Counsel.

Matritech (Nasdaq:NMPS) announced today the election of Patricia Randall to the newly created position of vice president, general counsel and chief legal officer. Randall joins Matritech with more than 25 years of corporate legal experience, the last five as vice president and general counsel for both NYSE and NASDAQ publicly traded companies. As chief legal officer, Randall will be responsible for legal issues relating to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, public securities reporting, intellectual property and the legal aspects of Matritech's strategic alliances.

From 1998 to 2000, Randall was vice president and general counsel of Hadco Corporation, a $1 billion manufacturer of electronic interconnect products listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Most recently she served as vice president and general counsel of Robotic Vision Systems, Inc., a $60 million NASDAQ company engaged in machine vision technology where she established and chaired the Patent Review Committee.

Prior to her service in public companies, she was a partner at Hamilton, Dahmen & Randall for 18 years and served as an adjunct professor at Northeastern University School of Law and a trial advisor at Harvard Law School. Randall has been elected to the board of directors of Belmont Instrument Corporation and the New England Corporate Counsel Association. Randall received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and her B.A. from American University.
