Hotmath.com, a subscription-based service, is staffed by a group of math teachers and professors who believe that getting students "unstuck" on their homework will help keep them from getting discouraged dis·cour·age

The site features tutorials for actual homework problems found in a number of popular textbooks. (New textbooks will be added periodically.) Hotmath's solution authors rely on the approaches presented in the textbook textbook Informatics A treatise on a particular subject. See Bible.  prior to the specific page the problem is on, so the solutions use the same methods the students are currently learning in class. Students who have access to computers during study periods or during class can access the site during school hours for free.

Subject areas include algebra algebra, branch of mathematics concerned with operations on sets of numbers or other elements that are often represented by symbols. Algebra is a generalization of arithmetic and gains much of its power from dealing symbolically with elements and operations (such as , geometry geometry [Gr.,=earth measuring], branch of mathematics concerned with the properties of and relationships between points, lines, planes, and figures and with generalizations of these concepts. , pre-Calculus, chemistry, statistics, economics and physics.
