Masters Series: experts to share advanced business techniques.The aging population and Its impact on social and economic trends, harnessing your organization's potential, and using small wins to engage employees will be addressed in the Masters Series at the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM) 2012 Annual Conference & Exposition. SHRM's 64th Annual Conference is scheduled to be held June 24-27 in Atlanta. Its three-day Masters Series consists of high-level, thought-provoking sessions of advanced business techniques for senior-level HR professionals. "We have three very different and very timely topics being covered, from using creativity to engage employees to the importance of organizational health to the impact of the graying of the workforce," said SHRM's Letty Kluttz, SPHR, manager of conference programming. Harvard Business School professor Teresa Amabile will speak on the themes addressed in her book The Progress Principle (Harvard Business Review Press, 2011), including learning how to support employee well-being, remove obstacles and ignite organizational innovation. Best-selling author Patrick Lencioni, founder and president of The Table Group, will address HR's role as a catalyst in helping business leaders launch organizational health efforts. Global economic expert Ted Fish-man's latest book is Shock of Gray (Scribner, 2010), and his session will address the large aging world population and how understanding it is essential for companies, organizations and communities to endure and thrive.
