ADVANCED PIANO

Nelita True * Tuesday, March 28

Renowned pedagogue Nelita True is professor of piano at the Eastman School of Music Eastman School of Music: see Rochester, Univ. of. , where she served as chair of the piano department for 14 years. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Michigan (body, education) University of Michigan - A large cosmopolitan university in the Midwest USA. Over 50000 students are enrolled at the University of Michigan's three campuses. The students come from 50 states and over 100 foreign countries.  and a D.M.A. degree from the Peabody Conservatory. Over the years, True has given hundreds of master classes, lectures and recitals throughout the world. She has served on the juries of several prestigious international competitions. In addition, she was the first American invited to be a visiting professor in the Soviet Union performing and conducting master classes for a month at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. True was the recipient of the 2002 MTNA MTNA Music Teachers National Association
MTNA Middle Tennessee Nursery Association (McMinnville, Tennessee) 
 Achievement Award and the 2005 National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy Lifetime Achievement Award.

INTERMEDIATE PIANO

Ingrid Jacobson Clarfield * Monday, March 27

Ingrid Jacobson Clarfield, nationally recognized teacher, clinician, pianist and author is professor of piano and coordinator of the piano department at Westminster Choir College -- Westminster Choir College is a residential college of music located in Princeton, New Jersey, United States.

Westminster has a choral emphasis that educates men and women at the undergraduate and graduate levels for music leadership careers in churches, schools,
 of Rider University. She holds a bachelor of music degree from Oberlin College and a master of music degree from the Eastman School of Music. Clarfield has given lecture-recitals, workshops and master classes in more than 100 cities across North America. She has also authored many collections for Alfred Publishing Company, including Keys To Stylistic Mastery, Books 1-3, From Mystery to Mastery; and Artistic Preparation and Performance. Clarfield maintains an independent studio in Princeton, New Jersey

, has performed operatic roles with the Dallas, Chicago Lyric, Ft. Worth, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Lake George, Des Moines Metro, Kansas City Lyric, Peoria and Austin Lyric opera companies. She has also sung with the Boston, Chicago, National, Minnesota, Buffalo Philharmonic, Austin and Detroit symphony orchestras and was invited for 10 consecutive years to sing the Philadelphia Orchestra's annual Messiah. In Yugoslavia, she has sung Ulrica in Ballo in Maschera with the National Theatre of both Belgrade and Zagreb, and has premiered operas by Dominick Argento, Robert Xavier Rodriguez and Peter Schat.
