Mass. Bay Brewing's Harpoon Stout is out.

Spring came early to the Boston area this year with Mass. Bay Brewing Co.'s release of Harpoon Stout.

Last year, the brew was introduced to the Boston market on draught and was met with rave reviews, the brewery reported. "Long after spring, we had people at the brewery demanding our stout," stated Nick Godfrey, Mass. Bay's marketing director.

To meet the anticipated demand, Mass. Bay has increased production of its stout, and has also made it available in 12-oz. bottles.

According to head brewer Tod Mott, this dry stout utilizes six kinds of two-row malt and an abundance of hops. "This is my personal favorite," Mott said of the stout.
