Maryann Suydam Joins UNICCO Executive Committee.


NEWTON, Mass. -- UNICCO UNICCO United Nimba Citizen's Council [R] Service Company today announced that Maryann Gilligan Suydam has been appointed to UNICCO's Executive Committee. Internal and external Executive Committee members advise and help the $700 million privately-held integrated facilities services company set its strategic direction.

) veteran who has had management, financial, strategic and operational responsibilities for a 55 property, 13 million sf. portfolio in metropolitan Boston. Her strategic asset management experience includes acquisition, as well as disposition and extensive outreach to the regional business and real estate communities.

Suydam was most recently senior vice president of the Boston Region of Equity Office Properties Trust Equity Office Properties Trust, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, is the largest owner of office buildings in the United States. It was formed in 1976 by Samuel Zell [1] and in February 2007, was acquired by the Blackstone Group for $23 billion plus the assumption of  where, in addition to her direct responsibilities, she was also active in the Equity Office's Women In Management Network (WIMN), serving as a regional director and Advisory Board member.

Suydam earned a bachelor's degree from Boston College Boston College, main campus at Chestnut Hill, Mass.; coeducational; Jesuit; est. and opened 1863. Actually a university, the school's Chestnut Hill campus comprises colleges of arts and sciences and business administration, the graduate school, and schools of nursing  and a master's degree from Columbia University.

She serves on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy (July 22, 1890 – January 22, 1995) married into the Kennedy family and became its matriarch in the 20th century, when its members helped shape American politics.  Greenway Conservancy Board as vice chairman. She is a member of the Boston Harbor Association and also serves on the Board of Directors for Save the Harbor/Save the Bay. She is an executive director of the Artery Business Committee, a board member for Boston's Municipal Research Bureau and an overseer of The Children's Museum.
