Jaroslav Jan Pelikan (17 December 1923 – 13 May 2006) was one of the world's leading scholars in the history of Christianity and medieval intellectual history.
, David Flusser David Flusser was a professor of Early Christianity and Judaism of the Second Temple Period at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities and a recipient of the national Israel Prize in 1980 for his academic achievements. , and Justin Lang (Fortress, $17) offers ecumenical perspectives on how Mary has been depicted over the centuries, with special reference to artistic renderings.
