Marvin B. Barefoot; February 23, 1920 - January 8, 2008.DAVIS, CA Marvin Beauregard Barefoot died peacefully in Davis, CA on Jan. 8, 2008, after a brief illness. Marvin and his wife Rita (Stachowicz) had been living in Davis, CA for the past 8 years, near their daughter, Michele Barefoot and son-in-law Luis Perez-Grau. Marvin and Rita enjoyed their retirement years in Hudson, and later in Northborough, from 1984 to 2000, close to their daughter Sandra Barefoot, son-in-law Terrence Smith, and granddaughter Jennifer Barefoot Smith of Boston, and their son, Richard Barefoot who passed away in 1999 in Framingham, MA. Marvin was born in Okmulgee, OK and grew up on a farm on the prairie. He served 29 years in the military as a pilot and Commander, and later worked another 23 years as an auditor and accountant in New Jersey for the federal government. Marvin loved wildlife and enjoyed telling stories of growing up on the farm and about his experiences flying airplanes, which was his passion in life. Marvin's family and friends will miss his guidance, compassion, unique sense of humor, great storytelling and loving companionship.
