A family formed by the remarriage of a divorced or widowed parent. It includes the new husband and wife, plus some or all of their children from previous marriages.

, and the free-form groupings favored by those who would have us "honor all families." There is no way of protecting children against being brought up in a sin-soaked world.

Still, we need to raise our children, and it makes sense to ask what setup is best for them. I am still to be convinced that anyone has improved on the old-fashioned heterosexual family (not too rigidly understood). If that's so, we have every reason to be disturbed by a culture that supports divorce, and by the claim that gay and lesbian pairings are marriages or their moral equivalent.
