Xinhua Financial Network Ltd. (Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov. ), a news agency launched four years ago by U.S. expatriate Fredy Bush, has acquired financial news service Market News International (MNI See Merom New Instructions. ; New York New York, state, United States

). No terms of the deal were given. MNI was represented by Jordan, Edmiston Group (New York). MNI is a provider of information and intelligence for professionals in the financial markets, including traders and investors. The company's online subscription products include: The Main Wire, with information on the global financial markets; Foreign Exchange Bullet Points, with information on currency markets; Fixed-Income Bullet Points, with data on the fixed-income markets; and, The Breckner Report, covering developments at the Federal Reserve. MNI has about 5000 subscribers.
